Sanjay Dubri Tiger Reserve
Established in 1975 in the Sidhi district of Madhya Pradesh, the Sanjay-Dubri Tiger Reserve is a stunning wildlife paradise renowned for its lush Sal forests and its historic connection to the world-famous white tiger, "Mohan." Rescued from this landscape in 1951 by the Maharaja of Rewa, Mohan became the progenitor of most captive white tigers globally, a legacy honored by naming a park range after him. Today, this rich ecosystem not only supports thriving tiger populations and diverse wildlife but also serves as a vital wildlife corridor connecting the Bandhavgarh and Palamau Tiger Reserves, occasionally providing temporary shelter to migrating wild elephants from neighboring Chhattisgarh.
